《战火兄弟连：鲜血洗礼（Brothers in Arms: Earned in Blood）》不会是另一部考验你反应与准确性的二战背景射击游戏，Gearbox的这部作品要求玩家使用战术及团队合作以击败敌人。尽管前作的发售只不过是4个月前的事，但Gearbox的制作组们已经开始进行续作的开发。

　　在这里为那些没有体验过前作的玩家们介绍一下游戏的大致剧情：《战火兄弟连》讲述了诺曼底的一个伞兵队的故事。玩家将扮演Matt Baker中士，率领队员们穿越于法国南部的乡村地区，与路途中遭遇德军士兵交火。原作与这部续作都取材并改编自现实中101空降师在D-Day的征途。

　　这次你可以控制Hartsock了。玩过前作的玩家应该记得他曾加入过MattBaker的队伍，而后又忽然离去。尽管Baker和Hartsock的两条突袭之路常常会交汇，但他们仍然会选择不同的道路，比如在任务开始时分散行动而在结束时会合在一起。《鲜血洗礼》中大约有1/4的任务内容是与《进军30号高地》在时间上是重合的。不过即使时间架构完全一样，当你扮演Hartsock时也会发现另一条不同的前进之路。在任务中，我们甚至可能会遇到Baker。他会停止穿越街道，催促着玩家继续前进，随后才去追赶自己的队伍。这些与前作的细微联系应该会让老玩家们会心一笑。

　　除了游戏中的任务模式之外，你可以在新增的“防御模式”中与他人共同合作游戏。此模式中将会出现一波又一波的德军士兵，直到你死亡为止。另外，在这个合作模式中你还可以扮演德军士兵进行游戏。
