TimeSplitters Future Perfect是一款科幻FPS游戏，在本作中，玩家将会跨越多个时空，从1914年一直打到2401年。本作依然以Cortez为主角，在多个时空追查时空分裂者的起源，拯救现实世界。游戏中各个不同的时间段都有不同的武器、道具、角色和场景，更加有趣的是，主角将会在过去和未来的自己的帮助下消灭敌人，不过一定要记住时空穿梭将会造成的“时空悖论”，不过在游戏中玩家也可以在穿越时空纠正在过去犯下的错误。

本作由多种游戏模式构成，包括故事模式、街机模式、挑战模式、多人模式和网络模式。故事模式巧妙的将多个时间段的冒险结合在一起；街机模式主要来自游戏中各种丰富有趣的迷你游戏，这些游戏充满挑战，成功完成后还将得到奖励；在挑战模式中得到最高排名后会得到特殊道具；多人模式可以通过SonyOnline进行16人死亡竞赛，网络游戏玩家还可以创建自己的比赛。在《TimeSplitters Future Perfect》中，玩家还可以使用全新地图编辑器轻松简便的创造新地图，这些地图还可以上传到网络与其他玩家共享。
